inaugural meeting Monday 23 March 2009

at 2pm in Penicuik Town Hall

Over 70 people came to the inaugural meeting of Penicuik & District U3A, three months after January’s exploratory event had been opened by Bill Fearnley convener of the Community Council and addressed by U3A’s Robina Hutton.  The U3A opened for enrolment at the meeting thanks to hard work by the interim steering committee and its office-bearers Margot Daru-Elliott (chair), Devi Marshall (vice-chair), Patricia Purton (secretary) and Meg Scott (treasurer).
