The Penicuik Arts Festival 2009
builds on the home-grown success of the first two festivals and the Penicuik
Arts Trail we started three years ago.
It brings together a fortnight of arts events organised by the volunteers
of two local arts charities, Penicuik Community Development Trust and Penicuik
Community Arts Association, plus a handful of individual artists and
performers, the Penicuik House Project and other local organisations, with the
help of the Community Council and space and support from local shops and
restaurants. It’s timed to chime with the nearby Edinburgh
and Peebles festivals. You’ll find a mixed program of exhibitions
and workshops and events for all ages, and a strong
